PDQ stands for pretty darn quick, and that is the whole specification. The unit arrives filled, a staff member lifts it out of the shipper, tears the lid on the perforation and puts it on the shelf. No unpacking, no facing up, no waste to carry back.
Retailers measure this in seconds, and it is a real buying criterion. We design the tear line and the lift points so the unit opens cleanly on the first attempt with one hand, because a display that needs a knife gets shredded and looks it.
Construction is E or B-flute depending on product weight, with printed inside walls since the interior front face is what the shopper sees once the lid is off. Fitting the tray to the product so it does not slump when stock is depleted matters just as much as the print.
