Clip strips exist to sell product in places that have no shelf allocation: hanging off a chiller, a gondola end or a shelf edge. For impulse SKUs they are the cheapest incremental facing in retail.
Ours are printed corrugated or heavy board strips with reinforced hang holes, because the hole is where every cheap clip strip fails. We double-layer the top 60mm and add a fibre washer so a fully loaded strip does not tear off within a week.
Load matters. A strip carrying twelve sachets is fine at 400gsm; twelve 100g pouches needs a corrugated strip with a metal hook. We size the strip to the actual filled weight rather than to the SKU count.
