We run these on 18pt recycled kraft with soy-based inks. Kraft drinks ink, so we adjust artwork at proof stage: type goes up a point, hairlines get thickened and heavy solids are screened slightly to avoid a mottled block across the front panel.
Finishing stays quiet on purpose. A blind emboss and a water-based varnish give texture and handling resistance without adding a film that has to be separated before recycling.
