We punch the pad to your post gauge and set the spacing from your actual pair, so both sit flush and level. For drops and hoops we switch to a slotted card that supports the piece from the top rather than piercing a pad.

The box stays shallow, around 30mm, which keeps studs close to the opening where they catch light immediately.
