A window sells the wax, not the copy
Window jar candle boxes let a buyer see the vessel, the wax colour and the wick before they pick the box up. That single view answers more questions than a paragraph on the back panel, which is why window cartons usually outperform closed boxes on a crowded shelf.
We cut the aperture to suit the jar: a tall rectangle for straight-sided glass, an arch for tumblers, or a circle centred on the lid for stacked display.
Film, or no film at all
Standard windows are patched with 0.1mm PET film, glued from the inside so the edge is invisible from the front. Where a brand needs a fully recyclable pack we leave the window open and cut it slightly smaller so the jar cannot slip through, or we use a compostable PLA film. Both options are listed on the quote with the recycling implication spelled out.
Board that carries the weight
A filled candle jar is heavy. Cartons run on 350gsm to 400gsm SBS or recycled kraft, and we add a die-cut base insert so the jar sits on two layers of board rather than one crease. For 12oz and larger vessels we recommend E-flute litho-laminated stock, which keeps the aperture edges from bowing when boxes are packed side by side.
Print, finish and ordering
Soy-based inks, offset printing and Pantone matching keep seasonal ranges consistent. Popular finishes are soft-touch lamination with gold foil on the logo, matte with spot UV around the window, or plain uncoated kraft with a one-colour stamp. Fragrance name, burn time, wax type and safety copy all fit on the side and back panels.
Minimum order is 50 boxes. A free dieline and 3D mockup come before print, and production takes 8 to 10 working days.
